Sadly, the Popular Alliance Party does not have the budget of the Swansea-based DVLA, which is so awash with motorists' cash it could afford to pay model Jodie Kidd (pictured) nearly pounds 700,000 to front an ad campaign.

Ms Kidd was signed up to promote a Government ad telling people they can renew their car tax disc online. Following a Freedom of Information request, it emerged the marketing budget for the campaign was pounds 671,000.
