MEDALS IN MANCHESTER (August 2002) A grand total of 31 medals - including six golds for the likes of Michaela Breeze, Jamie Arthur, Nicole Cooke and Dave Morgan - made the 2002 Commonwealth games the biggest haul for Wales as 228 athletes made a nation proud.

PRICE SHOCKS THE STATES (September 2002) Pontypridd's Phillip Price proved he wasn't in Sam Torrance's Ryder Cup team to make up the numbers as he shocked world number two Phil Mickelson with a 3&2 win on the 16th. Though Paul McGinley's putt regained the trophy, Price's win was the catalyst for Belfry joy.
